The 2020 elections offers three opportunities to vote for change on the Lee County Board of County Commissioners. The current board’s pro-development voting record is undermining decades of long-term planning and growth strategy.
In 2016 candidate Dick Anderson ran on the policy ideals we endorse; where growth pays for growth, the environment has precedence over development, and the long-term security of the County’s economy is prioritized over short term, short-sighted incentives.
Anderson recently endorsed Nicholas Batos for District 3 County Commissioner in 2020.
Dick Anderson Endorsement of Nicholas Batos
I am writing today to encourage you to support Nick Batos for the Lee County Commission District 3. Nick was the first mayor of Estero and is a proven leader who will advocate for much needed change in our county government. Nick has a history of protecting our environment and providing government for the people rather than for special interest groups.
Nick Batos’ real estate opponent will receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from developers and other special interest political action committees. But our 2016 campaign showed that if we work together we will win! We can elect Nick and people like him who will protect our environment and quality of life in a fiscally appropriate way.
Please go to Nick’s website Batos4leecounty.com for more information on Nick’s views. Please help us restore a much needed balance to our County Commission. I also suggest that you go to Nick’s Facebook page, Batos4LeeCounty, and LIKE and SHARE so that your friends can get regular updates on his campaign and can spread the word.
We need your help! Without a true grassroots effort from each of you, we will get more of the same special interest politics from our County Commission.
Please get involved! Now is your chance to make a difference! Email me back or call me at 239-470-4703, and I will be happy to put you on our team.
