Public pressure is mounting against the multi-billion dollar rural toll roads boondoggle that will destroy large swaths of Florida’s last remaining rural lands, pollute waterways, and threaten endangered wildlife including the iconic Florida manatee, gopher tortoise and panther – if we don’t stop it.

We’ve reached a critical moment in stopping these toll roads, and we’re counting on you to add your voice to the growing chorus of Floridians in opposition.

Register for the webinar and speak out against the toll road nearest you on Tuesday, April 28th from 9:30 AM–12:00 PM.

What is formally known as the M-CORES1 task force will lead the webinar, which will include an opportunity for public comment but you must register by 5pm today (Monday) to speak out against this disastrous plan. We need as many folks as possible from your county to advocate against the Roads to Ruin and for a “No Build” option.

The News Service of Florida has reported that due to the health and economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, Florida’s budget could be a whopping $8-10 billion dollars short2. Low end estimates are that building the Roads to Ruin will run at least $10 billion dollars – now is the time to stop this nightmare toll road debacle in its tracks.

Join the webinar and speak out against the $10 billion Roads to Ruin boondoggle.

I signed up for the Webinar. I may not succeed tomorrow but I will try, and I also wrote my 2 legislators.

I saw this too late to register, but I totally AGREE that the toll road SHOULD NOT BE BUILT. Now now, not ever!!! WE need to save and protect every square inch of green space, wetlands, and watershed that we can. If we don’t, the natural, wild and water-centric Florida that we know and love will no longer exist.
